General Federation of Nepalese Trade Union (GEFONT) Support Group (GSG) have celebrated May Day 2024 in destination countries such as Qatar, Malaysia, Bahrain, UAE with the main slogan of "Make foreign employment tax not a matter of desire" , "Migrant workers' rights, social security and decent employment".During a program organized by GEFONT Support Group (GSG) on May 3 in Doha, Chief Guest and GEFONT President Binod Shrestha emphasized the importance of providing Nepali workers, compelled to seek employment abroad, with decent livelihood opportunities in their own country.He said that, "there is no alternative to the effective implementation of socialsecurity schemes based on contributions to ensure the future of migrant workers."

Similarly, GEFONT Support Group (GSG) Malaysia organized separate May Day programs in Klang and Shah Alam cities of Selangor state on Baisakh 19. 

The chief guest of the program, founding patron of GSG Malaysia Prem Magar, along with coordinator Bed Kumar Khatiwada and President Bibek Limbu, delivered speeches highlighting the history and significance of May Day.
