Considering the recently changed political situation, the General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) has decided to organize Worker Dialogue Programs across the country.

GEFONT has launched this campaign under the slogan “Let's Defend Democracy – Not with Silence, But with Resistance”, expressing concern that with the erosion of democratic rights, the hard-won labour rights achieved through years of struggle are now at risk of being taken away.

For the operation of this campaign, responsibilities have been assigned as follows:

• Koshi Province: Vice President Bidur Karki and Secretary Belimaya Ghale
• Madhesh Province: Vice President Manju Thapa and Secretary Hari Karki
• Bagmati Province: Vice President Jitendra Shrestha, Secretaries Mahendra Lal Shrestha and Smriti Lama
• Gandaki Province: Vice President Sita Lama and Secretary Krishna KC
• Lumbini Province: Vice President Kamal Gautam and Secretary Taranidhi Pant
• Karnali Province: General Secretary Laxman Sharma and Secretary Bijaya Khadka
• Sudurpaschim Province: Vice President Janak Chaudhary and Secretary Taranidhi Pant.
