The General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) organized a Workers’ Dialogue Program on 11 November 2025 in Biratnagar amid the changing political context. The program was held with GEFONT President Binod Shrestha as the chief guest.

President Shrestha expressed his views on the impact of the changing political context and the role of the trade union movement in this environment.
In the program, GEFONT Vice President Bidur Karki highlighted the importance of the dialogue initiative. The event also saw the participation of General Secretary Laxman Sharma, Deputy General Secretary Naranath Luitel, Secretary Belimaya Ghale, and other leaders.

Out of the 120 participants, 17 representatives raised queries during the interaction. The program was facilitated by GEFONT Koshi Province President Kishor Dhamala.

GEFONT President Binod Shrestha highlighted the impact of the changing political context on the trade union movement and discussed the role that lies ahead.
In the program, Vice President Manju Thapa shed light on the objectives of the dialogue. Secretary Hari Karki, Province President Kamalesh Jha, and others also spoke on the occasion.

Similarly, on the same day in Sudurpaschim Province, a separate program was held with GEFONT Vice President Janak Chaudhary as the chief guest. The event was attended by Secretary Bijaya Khadka, Province President Jeet Malla, and National Committee Member Maya Gurung.
