GEFONT Koshi Province Conducts Workers’ Dialogue Program

The General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) organized a Workers’ Dialogue Program on 11 November 2025 in Biratnagar amid the changing political context. The program was held with GEFONT President Binod Shrestha as the chief guest.

President Shrestha expressed his views on the impact of the changing political context and the role of the trade union movement in this environment.

In the program, GEFONT Vice President Bidur Karki highlighted the importance of the dialogue initiative. The event also saw the participation of General Secretary Laxman Sharma, Deputy General Secretary Naranath Luitel, Secretary Belimaya Ghale, and other leaders.

Out of the 120 participants, 17 representatives raised queries during the interaction. The program was facilitated by GEFONT Koshi Province President Kishor Dhamala.
