A review program on the topic “Impact Study on the Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Danish Trade Union Development Agency (DTDA) in Asia” was organized by the ITUC–Nepal Affiliate Committee on October 15, 2025.

The event, chaired by ITUC–Nepal Affiliate Committee President Yogendra Kunwar, featured GEFONT President Binod Shrestha as a key speaker. In his remarks, Shrestha warned that the trade union movement in Nepal could be at risk if the current political situation persists. He emphasized the need to evaluate the longstanding cooperation with DTDA that has contributed significantly to the development of Nepal’s labour movement, and to move forward with new strategies and plans.

DTDA Program Officer John Paul shed light on the purpose and outcomes of the program. Similarly, GEFONT Vice President Bidur Karki, General Secretary Laxman Sharma, and other leaders expressed their views.

Leaders from GEFONT, NTUC, and ANTUF were present at the event, where ANTUF President Jagat Simkhada delivered the vote of thanks.
