The Nepal Garbage Cleaners Employee Union (NGCEU), affiliated with the General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT), has successfully conducted a Women’s Capacity-Building Training Program.

The training was held on October 26 and 27, 2025, at the GEFONT School, Anamnagar. Participants received training on organizational development, expansion and operation, leadership development and its importance, labour laws, gender equality and social inclusion, and collective bargaining.

Women workers engaged in the garbage cleaning sector took part in the program, where GEFONT Vice President Bidur Karki, Labour Relations Council Member Advocate Bhakti Ghimire, among others, served as resource persons.
