This Federation was formed recently with a view to guarantee the professional rights to the employees and health workers working at private health centres, nursing homes and hospitals. Previously, the workers in such sectors were partially organised either in Nepal Independent Chemical-Iron Workers' Union or in Nepal Independent Workers' Union.

But with the development and expansion of this sector, the need has been felt for separate national federation. And, accordingly a central ad-hoc committee has been formed.
