The General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) organized a Workers’ Dialogue Program in Simara, Madhesh Province, on November 8, 2025, in the context of the changing political environment.
GEFONT President Binod Shrestha highlighted the impact of the changing political context on the trade union movement and discussed the role that lies ahead.
In the program, Vice President Manju Thapa shed light on the objectives of the dialogue. Secretary Hari Karki, Province President Kamalesh Jha, and others also spoke on the occasion.
Similarly, on the same day in Sudurpaschim Province, a separate program was held with GEFONT Vice President Janak Chaudhary as the chief guest. The event was attended by Secretary Bijaya Khadka, Province President Jeet Malla, and National Committee Member Maya Gurung.
