📰 Headlines:
1️⃣ On the occasion of the second anniversary of Riders Union Nepal (RUN), GEFONT President Binod Shrestha shares a message of solidarity and best wishes.
2️⃣ ITUC–NAC (Nepal Affiliate Council) has launched a training on communication and report writing from 7 August 2025. GEFONT President Binod Shrestha emphasized the power of communication in strengthening the trade union movement. Amar Dhoj Lama facilitated sessions on social media, online campaigning, and content creation.
3️⃣ GEFONT National Women's Committee Vice President Sita Lama participated in a consultation hosted by FNCCI Sudurpaschim Province, highlighting the importance of dignified work and union rights in the care sector.
4️⃣ Tea workers in Jhapa protested in four estates—Gaurishankar, Riddhiganesh, Surya, and Naaz Tea Estate—demanding proper labor contracts, allowances, and inclusion in the Social Security Fund, as per the Labour Act.
5️⃣ Fedikhola Rural Municipality in Syangja organized an orientation on contribution-based Social Security Fund for female community health volunteers on 6 August 2025.
