GEFONT recommends to incorporate prior agreement in Labour Act

Speaking in the Interaction Programme on Labour Law Bill organised by the Sub Committee of International Relations and Labour Committee of the Legislature Parliament, GEFONT Secretary General Cde. Bishnu Lamsal urged to incorporate labour issues which was already approved between Trade Unions and Employers in New Labour Act.

Likewise, GEFONT Secretary and Advocate Cde. Ramesh Badal highlighted that among 560 amendment points presented by Members of Parliament, 92 issues will be enough to discuss. He also informed that iagreement has been already made between Trade Unions and Employers n 72 issues.

During the discussions, Trade union representative emphasised on important issues like Labour definition, Rights of Strike, Minimum Wage implementation etc must be included in  New labour Act. Representatives from  various Trade Unions, FNCCI, Cottage & small Industry etc participated in the Discussion.
