Kathmandu, GEFONT organized Province level one day orientation program on climate change and its impact, has concluded on 14 July 2019 for province no 3.
Inaugurating the Program GEFONT President Cde. Binod Shrestha said that GEFONT has formed a disaster management structure after the seventh national convention.He recalls that during divested earthquake of Nepal 2015 GEFONT has mobilized members in rescue, relief and reconstruction work.Inaugurating the orientation training.
President Shrestha said that we are facing most frequent natural disasters in Nepal. These disasters occur almost every year in one part of the country or the other causing loss of life and heavy damage to physical properties. In this context GEFONT has formed a disaster management structure after the seventh national convention.
President Cde. Shrestha said not only form the Disaster Management Committee & structure team should mobilize active after the disaster for that we should have proper plan to move ahead. GEFONT has been conducting training for youth members of GEFONT on it.
GEFONT Secretary-General Ced Janak Chaudhary facilitated the participants on climate change and its impacts. GEFONT Secretary Cde. Nisha Baniya on policy of Disaster Management and GEFONT Disaster Management Committee coordinator Cde. Balram Khatri informed about reduction of Disaster Risk and Management.
