GEFONT Support Group (GSG) Kuwait has requested Nepal Government to manage system for Nepali workers to visit Families in Nepal and return back to Kuwait.
GSG Kuwait has handed over the Memorandum to the Prime Minister through Ambassador in Kuwait. GSG demanded that Nepali Embassy in Kuwait should research cases of Nepali migrant workers working since many years and recommend Foreign Employment Department to give labour permit according to the situation.
GSG Kuwait President Ganesh Bahadur Rawat said that “all dometic workers in Kuwait are not exploited and having good facilities to support their families back home.” Therefore, he requested Nepali Embassy to collect information about the status of domestic workers in three months period.
Female domestic workers in Kuwait cannot visit back in Nepal because of a travel ban that prevents them from returning to well paying job. Therefore GSG Kuwait demands to make bilateral agreement between the countries in middle East and Nepali Embassy to provide Labour Permit for the Domestic Workers.
