GEFONT/ NIDWU conducts training on advocacy skill

April 24 - One 3 Day training on Advocacy was conducted on 21-23 April, 2010 in Kathmandu. There were22participants participated in the training from NIDWU leadership and GEFONT Zonal and district committee. Among them 11 were Male and 11were female .

There were mixtures of tools used to facilitate the training such as plenary discussion, Presentation, Lecture, Group discussion, Questionnaire, Role play.

The session were facilitated by Pemba Lama , Bidur Karki , Ramesh Mainali . During the training Nepali Trade Union Movement and GEFONT, ILO conventions related to workers Rights in Informal Economy/ILO Core Convention ,ILO Process-on Domestic Work Convention, NIDWU Objective, structure, program , Problems of Domestic workers /NIDWU , About advocacy , pupose of Advocacy, Finding an advocacy service, advocacy models  were disscueed

Paricipants  has identified the issues of  of Advocacy and  made a Future plan.Advocacy materials such as poster and other materials related  advocacy  were also distributed.
